1. Has your image of Jesus changed during the project? How or Why not?

2. What do you feel is the best way to portray an image of Jesus and why?

3. What have you enjoyed about the project so far and what would you do differently?

1. During this project, I don’t think my image has changed. The reason why it hasn’t changed is because I didn’t ever really have a solid image in my mind so I have only got the draft that I did in class today.

2. I think that the best way to portray an image of jesus is in art, as I said in the last Journal, this is because literature is very boring and not many people want to read a thousand passages. Art is the most effective because people can have their own opinions and feelings and portray them in a simple but effective way that can be spread quite easily.

3. So far in this project I have enjoyed the people I have worked with, I haven’t liked how many tasks we have had to do before we actually start creating our images, It was 5 weeks and now its down to only 2 weeks to have our whole exhibition ready and today was the first lesson on our images.

1) What form of medium (music, art or literature ) allows you to best connect with Jesus and Why

2) Why has Jesus been portrayed in so many different ways throughout history?

3) How is Jesus portrayed at Parramatta Marist?

4) What artistic time period do you think best represents your image of Jesus and why?

5) Identify one image of Jesus that appeals to you. What do you like about the representation?

6) What factors currently shape your image of Jesus and why.

1. In my opinion, I think art is the best medium to connect yourself with Jesus. It could be literature but I really don’t want to read about Jesus. I think art is the best way to connect because when you see an image of jesus, you are able to make your own opinions on that image, have your own perspective and that is why Artworks are the best way to connect with Jesus.

2. Throughout history Jesus has been portrayed in so many different ways because each person that has created an image of Jesus has their own views on the chain of events. They all have their own opinions on what happened and that is what makes them all do different portrayals of Jesus.

3. In parramatta Marist Jesus is portrayed as our Patron Saint, Marcellin Champangat. Jesus lives through Marcellin because of his actions and what he did for people hundreds of years ago. In recognising Marcellin as Jesus, we try to set a high example like he did so long ago.

4. The gothic period best represent my artwork because it is a gothic artwork. (speaking about indi task 1) if we are talking about the image I will eventually make, then I am not sure yet because I am still generating ideas in my head.

5. I liked the image that one of the groups presented. Lewis Maroon spoke about it. It was an image of Jesus with John the baptist as normal men, this appeals to me because it says that you can do great things if you put your mind to it.

6. The factors that currently shape my image of Jesus are, seeing others portrayal, if I liked it or not. Being told what an image of Jesus needs e.g. Beauty.

1) What words and or images come to mind when you hear the word Jesus.

2) Why might it be important for young people to identify with an image of Jesus?

3) Where in your life do you most associate with images of Jesus?

1. man, rough beard, old, love, god, spirit, knowledge, prophecies, parables, stories.

2. To be able to identify with an image of jesus as a young person, can show you that you are doing something good. If you can see something to do with Jesus and fully identify yourself with that picture, it gives you a sense of meaning to your life and tells you that you must be doing something right when others don’t seem to think so.

3. In my life I don’t really associate with images of Jesus, I usually just think of his teachings and don’t need pictures to remind me because I already know whats wrong and right.

1. How many rubrics are there for this project?

2. Describe the purpose of the rubric?

3. How can you use the rubric to get the best possible mark?

1. For this project there is one rubric, there is also a calendar, project planner and Group meetings that make sure we complete everything required from the rubric.

2. The purpose of a rubric is to show us what we need to include in our final product, it guides us while we are doing the project and is a point of reference if we are ever confused.

3. In this project we can use the rubric to get the best possible mark, by following it, frequently looking at it to make sure we are doing the right work at least once or twice a week and we can also help our group members, if we see that they are confused, show them the rubric. It helps individual and group marks.

1. List TWO problems that could occur from students selecting their own groups.

2. Which type of student do you think would be selected first?

3. Why do you think they were selected first?

4. Which type of student do you was selected last?

5. What beneficial characteristics can you offer to your group?

6. List THREE things you personally would like to improve on during this project.

1. Two problems that could arise from people picking their own groups is, people choose their friends, in my case that is nto a problem but it might be for others. Another problem is that people get left out because they are lazy, this is good because it makes those people work harder, but it could also mean that they get very upset if they find out they were picked last.

2. I think the type of student that would pick first is one that listens to others opinions, does hard work, has a good work ethic and doesn’t stand around doing nothing. e.g. Doctor Dizon.

3. I think they were selected first because other people can see the work they produce, it is an elite standard and other poeple want to be involved with them.

4. The type of student that was selected last was a student who is lazy, doesn’t hand in work, doesn’t do their work, expects others to do things for them, bossy, and talks to other people, also if they think they are “king shit”

5. To my group, I think i can offer hard work, I hope they will follow my lead and keep their work to a high standard as well.

6. Firstly I would like to be more organised, secondly I would like to listen to people a bit more and accept thier ideas and thoughts, and thirdly stray away from laziness and not be suckered into bad habits.

Being in a HEALTHY relationship with God means that I obey the commandments that God has set down, especiall I shall not kill, Respect others as I would like to be treated with respect and not to steal.

2. Loving my Neighbour and myself requires me to value them as a person. I requires me to weigh up my wants Vs. needs and share whatever I can in GOOD SPIRIT. It The word “neighbour” in this context can be used in a wider view, which makes every person that is around you as a neighbour and be as caring and kind to every person and don’t take anything for granted.
