Ans: When I see this viedo, I see a person dancing. I see that his spirit brings good spirit to other people who join in the dancing to create a combined effort. A combined effort brings teamwork and friendship.

2. What qusetions does this clip make you think about?

Ans: Who funded the trips to all these countries? Who is the dancing man? Why is he doing this? What does it mean?

3. Why do you think that we are showing this clip now:

Ans: I seriously have no idea. My best guess is that it is to promote a positive side of the world. In everday media accounts you could struggle to find any positive articles. I think we are being showed this clip to show that Media accounts aren’t always negative.

1. During this project I have actually enjoyed finding out how binoculars, telescopes, periscopes and other optical instruments work. They are alot simpler than I thought. I also liked making my own periscope out of 2 mirrors and a milk carton. What I didn’t like was being sick which meant I missed out on 3 days of school and had no idea when I came back.

2. What areas do you think you have improved in from project 1 to project 4?

2. I think I have improved on my ability to divide work and understand that some people’s maximum amount of work in a lesson might be less than mine. I have also been able to let others take the main part in presentation when I used to always want to do everything.

3. What further skills would you like to develop over the next few projects?

3. I would like to develop the skill of catching up on work and trusting others.

Optical fibres are a great new breakthrough in medicine and telecommunication technology. In medicine, Fibre optics are helpful because they are lightweight, flexible, strong and easy to manouver inside the body which is important when navigating the anatomy of a person.

b. The traditional medical techniques that fibre optics get rid of are huge holes in people during surgical procedures to find what is wrong with them. Fibe optics can be joined together and be connected to a lense which sends images of inside the person through a small cut in the person.

c. The benefits of fibre optics to medicine are great. Firstly the Size of them enables less invasive procedures to be carried out which get the sought out information quicker. They are also cheap to make which means medical bills and costs are lowered for people who undergo surgery with them.

The fact that there is camera flashes, loud noises, the donkey’s play on a hard surface and the basketball going past donkey’s head in every game, could be a safety problem for the donkey and the people riding them.

At the start of this article I was trying to be positive but thenn as I started to write, I could see no positives in this Donkey basketball league. Therefore my stance on this issue is that the game be scrapped.

2.One media account was that the state emergency workers have gone on strike in the City to rally about their pay conditions.

3. I saw this story on Either Today Tonight or the 6:oo news on channel 7 with Ian Ross

4.This media account is correct because it has been extensively covered and it shows people rallying about their pay conditions

5.To find more information about this issue, I could search on the internet or newspapers, also the newspapers websites and perhaps different news reports on television.

Issue #2

1. Lion love

2. I saw this on Today tonight at the end of the show, it was two men who bought a lion so that it wouldn’t be stuck in its cage and killed for its fur, they always exercised the lion and grew a great bond..but the right thing was to let it back into the wild which is what they did. After a few years the men went to Africa and searched for the pride of Lions, once their Lion saw them he came over and jumped on them and started to wrestle and lick them, it had not forgotten the men and he even brought over his “wife” to meet them.

These mens morals in freeing then Lion is a great example of the good in today’s society.

3. I saw this Moral Issue at the end of the Today Tonight show just before they went off air. It was the last story they ran tonight

4. The media account has not been changed because it was a youtube video which had received millions of “hits” which is why they showed it. To give the viewer a nice warm feeling before they went off the air.

5. To find more information on this story I could look for the youtube video because during the video there were subtitles that told you what was going on but in 7’s broadcast some of the subtitles were cut off but I still got the “jist” of the story

3. What did you find hard about working in groups?

4. How did the wikispace keep everyone in your team accountable

5. How could you improve your presentation?

1. In my project, I liked the fact that wikispace had a history. It meant that it was obvious that Zac did absolutely no work.

2. Even though there was a history tab, I didn’t like a particular persons work ethic. I was also a bit touchy with the other ones, because all he did was copy and paste.

3. When we were working in groups, I found it hard that I was the only one doing good standard work.

4. It kept everyone accountable because it was very obvious with who did do work, and who was lazy and unco-operative.

5. I think I knew my topic well but my other group members did absolutely no research for themselves and had no idea about what they were talking about.
