6. the metaphors in this poem are in lines 17-19..they describe things that arent possible like “we are the nature and the past” they are significant in this poem because it shows how in touch the aborigines were with their land.

8.Thunder has a capital letter because it is used for personification “that loud fellow” and for a name a capital letter is always used.

9.The mood is a negative one, the aborigines want their land back and the white people will keep using it until they have sapped all the life out of it.

10.I believe that the title of the poem incorporates the central theme of aboriginals being pushed out of their natural areas and how their cultures and traditions are being lost along with them which is mentioned at the end.

1. Select ONE person who you consider to have inspired you and provide a short background of this person.

2. Discuss briefly why you consider them to be inspiring.

3. Import atleast ONE picture and ONE hyperlink that can add to the information you have provided about your inspiring person or inspiring people in general

A1. Jane McGrath is the wife of Glenn McGrath who was an Australian fast-bowler. Jane has been diagnosed with breast cancer 3 times..she has survived the surgeries each time and recovered..but the cancer keeps coming back.

Although she has been so close to death so many times she uses her misfortune and turns it into an awareness campaign for other sufferers by setting up fund-raisers, public events (e.g. at the cricket the was thousands of women dresses in pink tops that stood on the field and made the shape of a lady before the match.)

A2. I consider Jane McGrath to be inspiring because she doesn’t sit at home and mope about how unlucky shes been to get breast cancer so many times..but she gets out in public and makes so many more people aware of the dangers of breast cancer, shes literally saving lives.

1. Why is it important to have regular group meetings?2. Outline TWO other tools or strategies that can be used to assist group work.

3. Discuss THREE problems that you may face from working in your group.

A1. It is important to have regular group discussions because it shows us where our group is up to in terms of the work, shows us where we need to be, and can tell us how to get there

A2. Two other tools for assisting groupwork would be…sensible usage of the computers..no games ect. and also during the team meeting we can work on our communication skills which would aid us in our research and efficiency as a group.

A3.  The major problem that would face our group and stop us from achieving our goals would be ARGUMENTS we can stop that if we choose our group roles correctly.

The 2nd problem that could face our group is when ALL our group members are trying to lead the group..this causes arguments, no work being completed and our group bondage to be broken.

The 3rd problem that could face our group is if the person we choose to be the “marist of the year” does not match all of our criteria.
